A top price for Robert Sanderson - as previously expected
In March 2003 Christies in London held the auction British, Victorian and Scottish Pictures, which included the work Playtime by Robert Sanderson. The price achieved of GBP 3,525.00 (€ 5,106.40) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Playtime is the most expensive artwork by Robert Sanderson that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im März 2003 führte Christies in London die Auktion British, Victorian and Scottish Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Playtime von Robert Sanderson zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.525,00 (€ 5.106,40) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Playtime das teuerste Kunstwerk von Robert Sanderson, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
