Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2003 Christies in London held the auction British, Victorian and Scottish Pictures, which included the work News from the front by Robert Sanderson. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,115.00 (€ 3,063.84) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Robert Sanderson have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2003 the work Playtime was auctioned for GBP 3,525.00 (€ 5,106.40).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2003 führte Christies in London die Auktion British, Victorian and Scottish Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit News from the front von Robert Sanderson zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.115,00 (€ 3.063,84) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Robert Sanderson konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im März 2003 die Arbeit Playtime für GBP 3.525,00 (€ 5.106,40) versteigert.
