Auction result well in line with expectations
In May last year Sothebys in London held the auction Photographs, which included the work Velours frappé et l'Echelle (from Château de Versailles) by Robert Polidori. It changed hands for a price of GBP 18,900.00 (€ 22,234.05) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Robert Polidori - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Green Car, 1997, which sold at auction in November 2013 for EUR 55,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Velours frappé et l'Echelle (from Château de Versailles) von Robert Polidori zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 18.900,00 (€ 22.234,05) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Robert Polidori mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Green Car, 1997 beobachtet, die im November 2013 für EUR 55.500,00 versteigert wurde.
