Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The coast at Antibes, near Cannes by Robert Payton Reid was auctioned at Christies in London in August 2003. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 200.00 – 400.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 235.00 (€ 337.40) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Payton Reid achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work All in a Garden Fair; and When the Thorn is White with Blossom in October 2000 with an auction result of GBP 10,575.00 (€ 18,075.70).

Die Arbeit The coast at Antibes, near Cannes von Robert Payton Reid kam im August 2003 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 200,00 – 400,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 235,00 (€ 337,40) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
