Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2009 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work An extensive landscape with woodland in the foreground by Robert Payton Reid. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 812.50 (€ 921.94) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Payton Reid achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work All in a Garden Fair; and When the Thorn is White with Blossom in October 2000 with an auction result of GBP 10,575.00 (€ 18,075.70).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2009 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit An extensive landscape with woodland in the foreground von Robert Payton Reid zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 812,50 (€ 921,94) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Payton Reid erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit All in a Garden Fair; and When the Thorn is White with Blossom im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.575,00 (€ 18.075,70).
