Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 293.75 (€ 480.20) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 250.00 – 350.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Robert Malcolm Lloyd - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Shipping approaching the harbour in heavy seas, which sold at auction in March 2002 for GBP 940.00 (€ 1,536.65).
