Despite a disappointment, a good price for Robert Leman
In July 2011 a collector was able to acquire the work Llandudno Bay, North Wales by Robert Leman for GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,324.65). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master and British Drawings Including Property from the Descendants of Walter Brandt at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00 set by the auction house. Despite this disappointing result, Llandudno Bay, North Wales is the most expensive artwork by Robert Leman that we have observed at auction so far.
