A top price for Robert Lefèvre
In May 2014 Christies in London held the auction The Raglan Collection: Wellington, Waterloo and The Crimea And Works of Art from the Collection of the Marquesses of Londonderry, which included the work Portrait of Emperor Napoleon (1769-1821), half-length, as Colonel of the Foot Grenadiers of the Imperial Guard, wearing the cross and Grand Eagle of the Légion d'Honneur, in a painted oval by Robert Lefèvre. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 120,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 122,500.00 (€ 150,556.45). With this result, Portrait of Emperor Napoleon (1769-1821), half-length, as Colonel of the Foot Grenadiers of the Imperial Guard, wearing the cross and Grand Eagle of the Légion d'Honneur, in a painted oval is even the most expensive work of art by Robert Lefèvre that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis für Robert Lefèvre
Im Mai 2014 führte Christies in London die Auktion The Raglan Collection: Wellington, Waterloo and The Crimea And Works of Art from the Collection of the Marquesses of Londonderry durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait of Emperor Napoleon (1769-1821), half-length, as Colonel of the Foot Grenadiers of the Imperial Guard, wearing the cross and Grand Eagle of the Légion d'Honneur, in a painted oval von Robert Lefèvre zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 120.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 122.500,00 (€ 150.556,45) einen neuen Besitzer. Mit diesem Ergebnis ist Portrait of Emperor Napoleon (1769-1821), half-length, as Colonel of the Foot Grenadiers of the Imperial Guard, wearing the cross and Grand Eagle of the Légion d'Honneur, in a painted oval sogar das teuerste Kunstwerk von Robert Lefèvre, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
