In April 2011 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work View of Elizabeth Castle, St. Helier (illustrated); and View of St. Saviours from the town mills by Robert Hills. The result of GBP 200.00 (€ 225.23) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 200.00 – 300.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Hills achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Herd of Deer Resting In A Glade in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 3,600.00 (€ 5,346.11).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im April 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit View of Elizabeth Castle, St. Helier (illustrated); and View of St. Saviours from the town mills von Robert Hills zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 200,00 (€ 225,23) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 200,00 – 300,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Hills erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Herd of Deer Resting In A Glade im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.600,00 (€ 5.346,11).
