Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Robert Hills could be acquired at Sothebys in London in November 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the A GREAT BRITISH COLLECTION: The pictures collected by Sir David and Lady Scott, sold to benefit the Finnis Scott Foundation auction, the work Donkeys In A Field changed hands for GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,511.34) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Robert Hills - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Herd of Deer Resting In A Glade, which sold at auction in November 2006 for GBP 3,600.00 (€ 5,346.11).

In der Auktion A GREAT BRITISH COLLECTION: The pictures collected by Sir David and Lady Scott, sold to benefit the Finnis Scott Foundation wechselte die Arbeit Donkeys In A Field für GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.511,34) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Robert Hills mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Herd of Deer Resting In A Glade beobachtet, die im November 2006 für GBP 3.600,00 (€ 5.346,11) versteigert wurde.
