Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Francine (“Lovey”) by Robert Henri was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in November 2019. The price achieved of USD 375,000.00 (€ 340,321.26) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 300,000.00 – 500,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Robert Henri - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mary Agnes, which sold at auction in December 2009 for USD 1,538,500.00 (€ 1,073,471.95).
