Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Robert Duckworth Greenham achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in March this year. In the Modern British and Irish Art auction, the work Iris & Rhododendrons sold for GBP 2,550.00 (€ 2,901.12) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Robert Duckworth Greenham; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The St Leger, 1937 sold at auction in November 2013 with the realized price of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,715.99).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Robert Duckworth Greenham erzielte im März diesen Jahres bei Bonhams einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art wurde die Arbeit Iris & Rhododendrons für GBP 2.550,00 (€ 2.901,12) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Robert Duckworth Greenham; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit The St Leger, 1937 im November 2013 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.715,99).
