Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Child of 60s by Robert Duckworth Greenham was sold in the TWENTIETH CENTURY BRITISH ART auction at Christies in London in March 2003. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 763.75 (€ 1,106.39) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Robert Duckworth Greenham have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The St Leger, 1937 in November 2013 with an auction result of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,715.99).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Child of 60s von Robert Duckworth Greenham wurde im März 2003 in der Auktion TWENTIETH CENTURY BRITISH ART bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 700,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 763,75 (€ 1.106,39) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Robert Duckworth Greenham auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The St Leger, 1937 im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.715,99).
