Auction result well in line with expectations
In March last year Sothebys in Paris held the auction Living Contemporary, which included the work Le baiser de l'Hôtel de Ville, Paris, 1950 by Robert Doisneau. The price achieved of EUR 4,410.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Robert Doisneau have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Selected Images in April 2007 with an auction result of USD 48,000.00 (€ 35,139.09).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Living Contemporary durch, in der auch die Arbeit Le baiser de l'Hôtel de Ville, Paris, 1950 von Robert Doisneau zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 4.410,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Robert Doisneau auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Selected Images im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 48.000,00 (€ 35.139,09).
