Auction result misses estimated price range
In August last year a collector was able to acquire the work South Coast Girl, 1996 by Robert Dickerson for AUD 9,225.00 (€ 6,292.98). This price was achieved in the auction Important Australian Art at Bonhams in Sidney and was even below the estimate range of AUD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Dickerson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Swimmers at the River, 2000 in November 2020 with an auction result of AUD 86,100.00 (€ 72,062.27).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im August letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit South Coast Girl, 1996 von Robert Dickerson für AUD 9.225,00 (€ 6.292,98) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Important Australian Art bei Bonhams in Sidney erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von AUD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Dickerson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Swimmers at the River, 2000 im November 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 86.100,00 (€ 72.062,27).
