Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sketch For Reclining Women by Robert Colquhoun was sold in the British and Continental Pictures & 20th Century British Art auction at Sothebys in London in March 2009. The price achieved of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,065.72) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Colquhoun achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Two Sisters in November 2005 with an auction result of GBP 102,000.00 (€ 149,850.89).
