In December 2007 Christies in London held the auction British, Continental & Russian Pictures, which included the work An Apple, Wallnuts, Eggs, Oil Lamp And Soup Tureen, On A Stone Ledge by Robert Chailloux. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,547.81), 56% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Robert Chailloux - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Robert Chailloux (French, b.1913), which sold at auction in April 2005 for GBP 5,760.00 (€ 8,525.64).

Im Dezember 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion British, Continental & Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit An Apple, Wallnuts, Eggs, Oil Lamp And Soup Tureen, On A Stone Ledge von Robert Chailloux zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.875,00 (€ 2.547,81) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Robert Chailloux mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Robert Chailloux (French, b.1913) beobachtet, die im April 2005 für GBP 5.760,00 (€ 8.525,64) versteigert wurde.
