Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Two watercolours: Deptford from the Greenwich Road and The Duke of York's Headquarters, King's Road, Chelsea by Robert Blemmell Schnebbelie was auctioned at Christies in London in March last year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 630.00 (€ 746.94). Other works by Robert Blemmell Schnebbelie have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in November 2010 by the work Figures before St. Dunstan's-in-the-West, Fleet Street, London at GBP 1,187.50 (€ 1,419.06).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Two watercolours: Deptford from the Greenwich Road and The Duke of York's Headquarters, King's Road, Chelsea von Robert Blemmell Schnebbelie im März letzten Jahres bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 630,00 (€ 746,94) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Robert Blemmell Schnebbelie wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im November 2010 die Arbeit Figures before St. Dunstan's-in-the-West, Fleet Street, London mit GBP 1.187,50 (€ 1.419,06).
