Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Summer in My Part of the Country by Robert Bates was sold in the THE IRISH SALE auction at Christies in London in May 2003. The price achieved of GBP 528.75 (€ 736.68) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Other works by Robert Bates have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2003 the work Returning to the Valley of Vision was auctioned for GBP 728.50 (€ 1,055.32).
