Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2003 Christies in London held the auction THE IRISH SALE, which included the work Grotto on the Maharees by Robert Bates. The price achieved of GBP 470.00 (€ 654.83) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Other works by Robert Bates have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2003 the work Returning to the Valley of Vision was auctioned for GBP 728.50 (€ 1,055.32).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2003 führte Christies in London die Auktion THE IRISH SALE durch, in der auch die Arbeit Grotto on the Maharees von Robert Bates zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 470,00 (€ 654,83) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Robert Bates konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im März 2003 die Arbeit Returning to the Valley of Vision für GBP 728,50 (€ 1.055,32) versteigert.
