Auction result well in line with expectations
In September this year Phillips in 19 - held the auction Heatwave: Online Auction, which included the work Two works: (i) Untitled; (ii) Untitled by Robert Barry. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,302.00 (€ 3,302.00) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Barry achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bright Green Wallpiece With Silver Words in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 37,839.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September diesen Jahres führte Phillips in 19 - die Auktion Heatwave: Online Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Two works: (i) Untitled; (ii) Untitled von Robert Barry zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.302,00 (€ 3.302,00) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Barry erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bright Green Wallpiece With Silver Words im Juli 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 30.000,00 (€ 37.839,43).
