In May 2012 Sothebys in Toronto held the auction Important Canadian Art, which included the work Réflexion Ii by Rita Letendre. The »bidding war« ended at CAD 12,000.00 (€ 9,377.55), 71% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Rita Letendre have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Les Signes S'Envolent in June 2010 with an auction result of CAD 71,500.00 (€ 54,845.17).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 71 % übertroffen
Im Mai 2012 führte Sothebys in Toronto die Auktion Important Canadian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Réflexion Ii von Rita Letendre zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von CAD 12.000,00 (€ 9.377,55) und damit 71% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Rita Letendre auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Les Signes S'Envolent im Juni 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CAD 71.500,00 (€ 54.845,17).
