Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Rina Banerjee was auctioned at Sothebys in London in June 2013. The price achieved of GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,294.87) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Rina Banerjee - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work In what seemed at first a monster's colonial dream, leprechauns of amber body and agile mind blew west wondering what it would be like to leave land, ocean, bird, bear, feline and the bounty of horned beasts, to leave our nature for culture, which sold at auction in March 2013 for USD 30,000.00 (€ 23,408.24).
Für andere Arbeiten von Rina Banerjee mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit In what seemed at first a monster's colonial dream, leprechauns of amber body and agile mind blew west wondering what it would be like to leave land, ocean, bird, bear, feline and the bounty of horned beasts, to leave our nature for culture beobachtet, die im März 2013 für USD 30.000,00 (€ 23.408,24) versteigert wurde.
