Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Richard Stone Reeves achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in February 2015. In the Interiors auction, the work Olympia sold for USD 18,750.00 (€ 16,745.56) - well above the upper estimate of USD 9,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Richard Stone Reeves - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Northern Dancer, which sold at auction in June 2015 for USD 62,500.00 (€ 56,033.71).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Richard Stone Reeves erzielte im Februar 2015 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Interiors wurde die Arbeit Olympia für USD 18.750,00 (€ 16.745,56) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 9.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Richard Stone Reeves mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Northern Dancer beobachtet, die im Juni 2015 für USD 62.500,00 (€ 56.033,71) versteigert wurde.
