Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction The Pohl-Ströher Collection of Portrait Miniatures, Part III, which included the work Portrait Of Franz Josef I, Emperor Of Austria (1830-1916) by Richard Schwager. The price achieved of GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,170.74) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Richard Schwager - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Pair of Miniatures Depicting Marie Baroness von Fürstenberg Zu Stammheim (B. 1864) In Off-The-Shoulder White Dress With Lace-Trimmed Bodice And Sleeves, Coral Necklace, Holding A Long Coral Necklace In Her Right Hand And Her Left Arm Leaning On A, which sold at auction in November 2006 for GBP 9,600.00 (€ 14,256.30)

Im Dezember 2019 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Pohl-Ströher Collection of Portrait Miniatures, Part III durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait Of Franz Josef I, Emperor Of Austria (1830-1916) von Richard Schwager zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.375,00 (€ 5.170,74) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden.
