Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of Count Maldeghem, when a child by Richard Schwager was sold in the Old Master and British Works on Paper, including Portrait Miniatures from the Pohl-Ströher Collection auction at Sothebys in London in December 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 882.00 (€ 985.27) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Schwager achieve. Die Arbeit Portrait of Count Maldeghem, when a child von Richard Schwager wurde im Dezember 2020 in der Auktion Old Master and British Works on Paper, including Portrait Miniatures from the Pohl-Ströher Collection bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 882,00 (€ 985,27) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
