Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2007 Christies in London held the auction Important Portrait Miniatures and Gold Boxes, which included the work A lady, in lace-trimmed white dress, white ribbon tied at corsage, two-strand pearl necklace centred with a gold-mounted gem-set pendant, upswept hair by Richard Schwager. It changed hands for a price of GBP 2,250.00 (€ 3,150.58) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Admittedly, works by Richard Schwager have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Pair of Miniatures Depicting Marie Baroness von Fürstenberg Zu Stammheim (B. 1864) In Off-The-Shoulder White Dress With Lace-Trimmed Bodice And Sleeves, Coral Necklace, Holding A Long Coral Necklace In Her Right Hand And Her Left Arm Leaning On A in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 9,600.00 (€ 14,256
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion Important Portrait Miniatures and Gold Boxes durch, in der auch die Arbeit A lady, in lace-trimmed white dress, white ribbon tied at corsage, two-strand pearl necklace centred with a gold-mounted gem-set pendant, upswept hair von Richard Schwager zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 2.250,00 (€ 3.150,58) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.500,00.
