Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2009 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Paintings, which included the work Manhattan, City Dawn by Richard Schmid. The price achieved of USD 10,000.00 (€ 7,540.91) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Richard Schmid - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sangre De Christo Mountains, Taos, New Mexico, which sold at auction in November 2004 for USD 23,900.00 (€ 18,025.49).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2009 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Manhattan, City Dawn von Richard Schmid zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 7.540,91) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Richard Schmid mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sangre De Christo Mountains, Taos, New Mexico beobachtet, die im November 2004 für USD 23.900,00 (€ 18.025,49) versteigert wurde.
