Auction result well in line with expectations
The work "Life is Swell When You Keep Well" by Richard Sargent was sold in the American Art Online auction at Christies in New York in May 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,500.00 (€ 3,139.30) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Sargent achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shade Tree in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 43,750.00 (€ 39,794.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit "Life is Swell When You Keep Well" von Richard Sargent wurde im Mai 2019 in der Auktion American Art Online bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 3.500,00 (€ 3.139,30) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard Sargent erzielen.
