Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Cowboy) by Richard Prince was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art Evening Auction auction at Christies in London in June 2015. The price achieved of GBP 842,500.00 (€ 1,187,914.43) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 700,000.00 – 1,000,000.00. Admittedly, works by Richard Prince have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Runaway Nurse in June 2021 with an auction result of HKD 93,986,000.00 (€ 10,209,316.51).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Cowboy) von Richard Prince wurde im Juni 2015 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Evening Auction bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 842.500,00 (€ 1.187.914,43) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 700.000,00 – 1.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Richard Prince auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Runaway Nurse im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 93.986.000,00 (€ 10.209.316,51).
