Auction result well in line with expectations
In July last year Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Discoveries, which included the work Andy Warhol, 'Flowers,' 1964 by Richard Pettibone. The price achieved of USD 15,120.00 (€ 14,820.62) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Pettibone achieve. Im Juli letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Discoveries durch, in der auch die Arbeit Andy Warhol, 'Flowers,' 1964 von Richard Pettibone zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 15.120,00 (€ 14.820,62) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard Pettibone erzielen.
