Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In January 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction Master Paintings Part II, which included the work The Count of Palatino in the costume of a Palikar by Richard Parkes Bonington. Here, the upper estimate of USD 80,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 81,900.00 (€ 67,490.73). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Parkes Bonington achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Palazzi Manolesso-Ferro, Contarini-Fasan and Venier-Contarini on the Grand Canal, Venice in October 2021 with an auction result of USD 7,387,800.00 (€ 6,395,256.23).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Januar 2021 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Master Paintings Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Count of Palatino in the costume of a Palikar von Richard Parkes Bonington zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 80.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 81.900,00 (€ 67.490,73) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard Parkes Bonington erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Palazzi Manolesso-Ferro, Contarini-Fasan and Venier-Contarini on the Grand Canal, Venice im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 7.387.800,00 (€ 6.395.256,23).
