Upper estimate price exceeded by 25 %.
The work The Count of Palatino in the costume of a Palikar by Richard Parkes Bonington was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2018. It achieved a price of GBP 75,000.00 (€ 83,556.65), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Parkes Bonington achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Palazzi Manolesso-Ferro, Contarini-Fasan and Venier-Contarini on the Grand Canal, Venice in October 2021 with an auction result of USD 7,387,800.00 (€ 6,395,256.23).
