This artwork by Richard Parkes Bonington achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in May 2020. In the Refining Taste: Works Selected by Danny Katz auction, the work Castello Estense, Ferrara sold for GBP 137,500.00 (€ 152,640.12) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Parkes Bonington achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Palazzi Manolesso-Ferro, Contarini-Fasan and Venier-Contarini on the Grand Canal, Venice in October 2021 with an auction result of USD 7,387,800.00 (€ 6,395,256.23).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Richard Parkes Bonington erzielte im Mai 2020 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Refining Taste: Works Selected by Danny Katz wurde die Arbeit Castello Estense, Ferrara für GBP 137.500,00 (€ 152.640,12) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard Parkes Bonington erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Palazzi Manolesso-Ferro, Contarini-Fasan and Venier-Contarini on the Grand Canal, Venice im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 7.387.800,00 (€ 6.395.256,23).
