A top price for Richard Hamilton
This artwork by Richard Hamilton achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in February 2015. In the Contemporary Art Evening Auction auction, the work Epiphany sold for GBP 557,000.00 (€ 768,020.27) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 200,000.00. This high result makes Epiphany the most expensive artwork by Richard Hamilton that we have observed at auctions so far.
