In September 2008 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work Young Lady Sewing by Richard Edward Miller. The result of USD 40,000.00 (€ 28,407.07) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Edward Miller achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tea-Time in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 1,087,500.00 (€ 1,028,077.14).
