Auction result well in line with expectations

It changed hands for a price of GBP 9,375.00 (€ 10,457.10) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Richard Doyle - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Elves in a Rabbit Warren, which sold at auction in June 2010 for GBP 25,000.00 (€ 30,402.33).

Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 9.375,00 (€ 10.457,10) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Richard Doyle mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Elves in a Rabbit Warren beobachtet, die im Juni 2010 für GBP 25.000,00 (€ 30.402,33) versteigert wurde.
