Sold at the lower estimate price
In July 2016 Christies in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work Untitled I-V by Richard Deacon. The result of GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,970.54) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Deacon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Breath in June 2010 with an auction result of GBP 85,250.00 (€ 103,671.93).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Juli 2016 führte Christies in London die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled I-V von Richard Deacon zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 2.500,00 (€ 2.970,54) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard Deacon erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Breath im Juni 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 85.250,00 (€ 103.671,93).
