Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2010 a collector was able to acquire the work In From The Sea by Richard Evett Bishop for USD 5,625.00 (€ 4,135.73). This price was achieved in the auction American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 9,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Richard Evett Bishop - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work American Pintails At Sunset, which sold at auction in November 2007 for USD 12,500.00 (€ 8,510.35).
