Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2017 Sothebys in London held the auction Scottish Art, which included the work Home Of The Red Deer by Richard Ansdell. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 35,000.00 (€ 39,730.21) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Ansdell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Wounded Hound in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 478,400.00 (€ 710,438.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2017 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Scottish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Home Of The Red Deer von Richard Ansdell zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 35.000,00 (€ 39.730,21) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard Ansdell erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Wounded Hound im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 478.400,00 (€ 710.438,97).
