Auction result well in line with expectations
The work British Market Square, Seville by Richard Ansdell was sold in the European Art auction at Sothebys in New York in May 2018. The price achieved of USD 35,000.00 (€ 29,991.43) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Ansdell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Wounded Hound in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 478,400.00 (€ 710,438.97).
