Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Highlander With Setters And Game by Richard Ansdell was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2016. The price achieved of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 29,497.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Ansdell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Wounded Hound in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 478,400.00 (€ 710,438.97).
