Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Chep and Schweppes by Richard Allen was sold in the AUSTRALIAN AND INTERNATIONAL PAINTINGS auction at Christies in Sydney in August 2001. The price achieved of AUD 2,350.00 (€ 1,364.24) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Allen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Warm Pink And Yellow in March 2014 with an auction result of GBP 16,250.00 (€ 19,668.20).
