In September 2020 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work August House by Richard Adams. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 3,187.50 (€ 3,514.74), 59% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Richard Adams; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Providing the Town sold at auction in November 2019 with the realized price of GBP 3,812.00 (€ 4,476.22).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 59 % übertroffen
Im September 2020 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit August House von Richard Adams zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 3.187,50 (€ 3.514,74) und damit 59% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Richard Adams; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Providing the Town im November 2019 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 3.812,00 (€ 4.476,22).
