In the 20th Century British Art & Dreaming Spires; Watercolours of Oxford and Cambridge Colleges auction, the work Cecil Beaton reclining sold for GBP 15,600.00 (€ 23,152.35) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Rex Whistler - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait Of Lady Caroline Paget, which sold at auction in June 2017 for GBP 68,750.00 (€ 78,293.42).
