However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Thomson of Duddingston - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Self-portrait at an easel, 14 November 1816, which sold at auction in May 2007 for GBP 10,800.00 (€ 15,892.93).
