A top price for René Prinet - as previously expected
The work Frenchkreutzer Sonata by René Prinet was sold in the 19th Century European Art auction at Sothebys in New York in November 2011. The price achieved of USD 170,500.00 (€ 126,737.53) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Frenchkreutzer Sonata is the most expensive artwork by René Prinet that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Frenchkreutzer Sonata von René Prinet wurde im November 2011 in der Auktion 19th Century European Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 170.500,00 (€ 126.737,53) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 150.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Frenchkreutzer Sonata das teuerste Kunstwerk von René Prinet, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
