This work without title by René Bertholo was sold in the Unwrapped, Part I: The Hidden World of Christo and Jeanne-Claude auction at Sothebys in Paris in February 2021. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 11,970.00 71% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by René Bertholo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Les Avantages et..., which sold at auction in July 2007 for USD 48,000.00 (€ 35,008.39).

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von René Bertholo wurde im Februar 2021 in der Auktion Unwrapped, Part I: The Hidden World of Christo and Jeanne-Claude bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 11.970,00 und damit 71% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von René Bertholo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Les Avantages et... beobachtet, die im Juli 2007 für USD 48.000,00 (€ 35.008,39) versteigert wurde.
