Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2017 China Guardian in Hong Kong held the auction The Schoeni Family Collection, which included the work Sensitive Area I(Painted In 1996) by Ren Rong. The price achieved of HKD 14,160.00 (€ 1,558.48) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 10,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ren Rong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Big Family (Thirty-Two Parts) in March 2008 with an auction result of USD 67,000.00 (€ 42,391.65).
