Despite a disappointment, a good price for Ren Rong
This work of art by Ren Rong could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in March 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art Asia auction, the work Big Family (Thirty-Two Parts) changed hands for USD 67,000.00 (€ 42,391.65) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 70,000.00 – 90,000.00. Despite this disappointing result, Big Family (Thirty-Two Parts) is the most expensive artwork by Ren Rong that we have observed at auction so far.
